When using a non-stick spray, place the pan to be sprayed on a rack in your dishwasher and spray. The excess or "overspray" will stay in the dishwasher where it will be washed away later. No mess on your countertops!

Chop fresh parsley, along with whatever dried herbs you are using in a recipe to freshen their flavors and aromas.

To cut in very cold butter for a pastry or other recipe, just grate is as you would carrots.
It's so much faster, and easier on the hands.
